Our town no longer has a Christian bookstore, and the bookstores we do have rarely carry Christian books for teens and tweens. An online "peek inside" doesn't satisfy my questions, so I'm asking for your input.
The books I'm searching for must be well-told stories that excite and encourage their faith, but they don't have to be blatantly evangelical. They should ignite their imaginations and challenge them to live courageously.
Morality is very important. Kids - and all of us - are bombarded constantly with messages that degrade. My grandkids deserve better.
So, please tell me, what do you recommend? And why? What are the best books you've read that are suitable for kids aged nine to sixteen? I'd love to hear about books for younger kids, too.
Thanks so much! You bless this grandma's heart.
