When a reclusive businessman takes an interest in Haven's artwork, she knows it's an answer to prayer. But Jett Cestone is an enigma with a disconcerting connection to the young women in his employ. He's by far the most unusual man she's ever met. Haven is the most interesting woman to ever cross Jett's path. But she's too naive and pure to learn what goes on in his home. Too bad he wants her more than he's wanted anyone or anything in his life.
I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book, but it grabbed me from the prologue and held me captive to the end. There were a couple formatting problems were dialogue showed up in extra-large font, but that didn’t detract from this well-written story. Author Dana Pratola takes an obscure Biblical reference and weaves a fantastic tale of mystery, genius, and love. Jett is an enigma, either an incredible hero or terrible villain – or maybe both. Haven is a supremely talented but undiscovered artist, until Jett’s grandmother falls in love with one of her paintings. Jett will do almost anything for his grandmother, but her desire brings Haven into a fortress-like house of secrets.
JETT is not your typical romance or even romantic suspense, but I enjoyed it and its multi-layered plot and intriguing characters. This book earns five stars from me.
